16 Months

Let's start this one off with some history. Far left is Gramma Cheryl (July 1948), middle is me (July 1972) and then Zoey (July 2007) all on the same rocking horse that Bill Hogan (Zoey's late great Grandpa made). Every morning after the Wiggles she has to ride the "YeeSee" (aka horsie) while listening to the Beatles (it's a children's rendition that makes "Uncle" Mike cringe.

And before you look at the next pictures this one will give you a bit of background...that's me November 1971 in a saggy diaper holding a Pabst Blue Ribbon...do they even make that beer anymore?

"Uncle" Mike contributing to the delinquency of my minor. LOL Perfect form in the first picture...Ewww, yuck in the second...but then, WAIT! Zoey just acquired a real taste for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

These were taken at The Irete's Retreat July 4th BBQ. See archives from last year if interested or checkout http://www.iretesretreat.blogspot.com/

Vogueing in the afternoon sun at the Irete's.

What's a party without injuries...that's my knee. No, I wasn't skydiving into a canyon...I was pushing Zoey on a swing and slipped on the gravel thanks to Rodney Strong and Kendall Jackson.

This is little PZ (aka Princess Zoey) at 10pm after the fireworks (and 3 hours post bedtime) on the ride home...looking quite ready to hit the "after party" if I might add. Luckily, she was asleep as soon as she realized her crib was within eyesight.

Look, everyone! "moooo-aaahhn!" You could see the moon midday and she was sure to point it out to everyone at Marcie's BBQ.

This is the lounge chair created every morning after breakfast so the Princess can watch the Wiggles in comfort.

Another Horsie picture.

And where did she get these curls?

Zoey's First Job

OK, the Huggies shoot went awesome! She was the first on set and the last to leave. What work ethic! I think she officially made more $$$ than I have this year. The four babies had their own StarWagon to use during breaks and that's where the Moms had to camp out. I couldn't be on the set with Zoey. I did manage to take a picture from a window...but you can't see Zoey in the swing. Now we just have to wait to see what the New York ad agency decides on which baby to use. We were told it was for magazines, billboards and packaging.

I heard my cue. I'm up...let's go!
Uh, people, can we get the set to look a little more like this?
I look MARVELOUS!
This is how I unwind between takes.

Exhausted. I took this at a stoplight less than a minute after she was buckled into her seat for the ride home...but, ready to step in front of the camera as soon as we got back home.
Ahh, the day after work relaxing in the garden.

14 Months Old

Geez, has it really only been a month since the last post? Seems like a year. Anyway...the month was nearly half over and I had no pictures but that was easily remedied.

Zoey's favorite place...the back yard.
This was taken as soon as we got home from her "call back" audition for a Huggies print ad. She was in...well, I was going to say rare form that day, but she's always happy like this.
It'll be cute to compare this picture to a (hopefully) studious college age Zoey. Um, sorry Uncle Kevin...she's not into Tolkien yet.

We just found out that Zoey won her audition. Her agent said, "In eight days of casting, thousands of babies were submitted, hundreds seen and four were picked." Congrats Baby!

Spraying the driveway with Dad.

Our new fun toys...a bike seat and helmet. I love the front mounted seat but it really makes the hills hard since I can't stand up.
On our way to the fair in our matching "RacerGirl" souvenir T-shirts from Grampa Don who was just at a Nascar race. We're on our way to the local carnival.

Zoey's first ride. She didn't really dig it which was a big surprise. Maybe it just didn't go fast enough?

And what kid doesn't like cotton candy? Zoey apparently.
Hmmm...lets kill some time getting messy with finger/body paints. After this it was the hose for Zoey which she enjoyed more than the painting.
