HOT, HOT, HOT August...

Hmm, it's been really hot this month so there's gonna be a common theme throughout...water play. I like to make a huge bubble bath in the baby pool.

Miss Zoey got her first real bike. She kept saying that she wanted a pink one but Dad kept steering her toward the blue one.

CHEEEEEESE!!!
Zoey snuck out of bed and asked so sweetly if I would come and read her a story that I just had to bring her into my bed for a while.

More Babes and Bubbles...

OK, this picture makes me laugh so hard every time I see it. Zoey put a pile of bubbles on his head (cute) so I ran in to get the camera, right? When I came back, Poor Milo! He didn't seem to mind the thorough sudsing that Zoey game him but he couldn't see much. After I wpied him off he was back to smiles.

Uh, so what if they're (were) Gucci sunglasses? My bad for buying them in the first place right?

This is my "I-just-woke-up-from-a-nap" look.

We spent a hot afternoon with Aunt Darlene, Uncle Jerry, Stephanie and her new boyfriend at Gardens of the World here in T.O. (Really looking forward to getting together again when I can actually have a conversation). We haven't seen them for a LONG time. They actually had never met Milo.

It's all about me...

This is the Breath Of Life Tri in Ventura. My first "real" Sprint Triathlon. Half mile swim, 20K bike and 5K run.

Yikes...did I mention I am afraid of the ocean?
Waiting on the beach for the start.
My training buddy Nina. She really helps me keep calm. She's got the best attitude and is always smiling!
There's the gun for my wave to start...and my mind completely checks out! I remember from warm up (or cool off because the water wasn't too pleasant) that there was a ton of kelp. Ew, gross!

The best part of the whole race was when my feet touched sand.

A sea of bikes...but no bike shots from the family. Guess I was just too fast. LOL The event photographer did get a couple....I'm going to order this one.

No pics of T1 but here's T2...to the run.

Here I come...there I go.

It's all a blur. I honestly don't remember a thing!
6th in my division, 26th overall the women. No medal but I qualified for Age Group Nationals in Alabama...as if I could go. LOL

At the Beach with Grandpa and Judy

Had to go to the beach to pick up my race packet so we made a day of it. I haven't been bravee enough to take the kids to the beach by myself (f0r good reason) but with three adults it was pretty fun!

Aww, so sweet. If I'd have only stayed away for a couple more minutes Milo would've fallen asleep.

There's one person missing from all but one of these pictures...credit to the photographer! Thanks Judy!!

A quick demo of a single tri-pod and a much more complicated double tri-pod. Don't try this at home, these are trained professionals!

Milo can't believe no one is nagging him about keeping the sand in the box. Happy Day!

Ahhhh, strapped in (aka immobilized) plus a bag of sandy popcorn equals two happy tired kids.

Zoey Pics

Aw...glad I got a picture or I'd never believe it. They're sharing!

Remember being little like this and actually liking to lay on the grass?

Momma was teaching her how to make silly faces in the mirror. I'm sure I'll regret it soon.

Two little ladies out to tea...or rather ice cream. Ever is Zoey's favorite girl friend.

Kisses for Dadda on top of StageCoach Bluff...family hike.

A quick pose with me and Milo on top of StageCoach Bluff. And we're potty trained now...doing really well. She HAD to use the potty on the hike and we didn't have one so we used this rock. She insisted that I take a picture of it post pit-stop.
