Ice Skating

Another winter sport intro for Milo. Zoey skated once when she was 20 months old or so...she also skied at 11 months and again while I was pregnant with Milo. Milo wasn't as thrilled about skating as he was skiing. But Zoey absolutely LOVED it. Again, my expectations were that they would hate the way the skates felt and become immediately frustrated with the ice. Luckily they had these red support things for beginners to hold on and scoot around with. Before long Zoey ditched hers and Milo wanted to copy his big sister and did the same. Zoey even skated enough to create some pretty bad blisters but she didn't seem to mind at all until we took off the skates.

Two ski days

We did manage to squeeze in two trips to Granite Peak...next year definitely season passes! Both kids (much to my surprise) took to it immediately...especially Milo! I half expected meltdowns about the way the boots felt when you walk...it can feel pretty strange. Zoey was certain they had magnets in the bottom that made you stick to the ground.

Happy Birthday Zoey!

Thanks Kristin for helping and bringing all the cool decorating stuff. I think it turned out great and Zoey sure was impressed! Rainbow colored frosting...and lots of it! What could be more impressive!? Five years old...my how time crawls...I mean flies? She still calls herself a "Five Cake"...Milo will be a "Three Cake". Lets not talk about what "cake" I am, OK? A sock puppet? I dunno why I'm posting this. I think it's because she came home from school one day and told me her socks were no good for wearing anymore but they were perfect for making sock puppets...bring out the needle, thread and Sharpie's...lol. Where did she get the "sock puppet" idea anyway?
