Miscellaneous

Just a random pic of a handsom dude.

And an inside joke from Gradma Cheryl to the kids...it is still going and wow do they think up some disgusting things to make as a sandwich based on this cartoon.

Saint Johns School

Volunteering to help with Track and Field Day I got a ton of pics of all the kids.  Milo's class didn't participate though I asked if they could just do a little dash at the end in the grass.

Yes, this is one nights homework for a Kindergarten kid these days...at least at St. Johns since it's a multi-age classroom.

A 1 mile race showing our school pride.  We were supposed to show up as a group to raise awareness of our little school but the weather was foul and only the die-hards (us) showed up.  Zoey went out strong but realized that she couldn't keep up and thus, wasn't going to win.  So she screamed and wailed and cried the WHOLE mile.  The last 400 yards Milo got tired of hearing her so he said his good byes and raced off to the finish on his own.  GOOD BOY!!!

Since when do they do two rounds of school photos?  I guess since some brainiac realized that parents will always pay for their kid's picture.

Volunteering to chaperone the kids at the Grand Theater for the World of Eric Carle.  Really cool play with puppets (but think Vegas showmanship).

Ah, another volunteer opportunity for me.  We learned all about sunflowers and planted them with Milo's class.

Chris and Michelle in Wisconsin

Snowshoeing in the hard pack...just to say we did it.

Cross Country skiing...if only for 5 minutes.  Chris was worried about her old bones.  I did OK but I think it was a reality check on my bucket list item of doing the Birke.

Ahhh, tubing was fun for all...though a little muddy.  We all had (had being the word of note).

Cheese curds and Chardonnay...Tres Chic!

Winter Stuff

Our one and only Snow Day this year.  We shovel snow off the deck and cover the staircase to make a banked sledding ramp.  Really fun to go down but treacherous to climp up.

Wanted to go hiking on the Rails to Trails system. We had a lot of warm weather and I thought the trails would be somewhat clear but no.  Milo did manage to fine a huge patch of mud to fall in immediately though.
.
Ski racing has really changed since the 80s.  I love going out to the GPST Wednesday Adult League.  I've reconnected with a LOT of people and am now Co-Coaching on skis, Head Dryland Coach and will be going to NASTAR Pacesetting this coming winter.  Qualified for Nationals in Winter Park but one (Triathlon) National competition per year is probably enough for this momma.

4 and 6 Years Old!

Cupcakes from Sweet Lolas, known for weight of buttercream equal to or greater than the weight of cake.  Zoey's choice...and lazy Mom.

Even worse on the Mom duties here but I made up for it with presents...anything trains, tools or construction vehicles.

Mother's Day at DuBay

Strike a pose...but please not so Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition!!

Contemplating the possibilities...dig in the sand or run in the water...

No question as to what he wants to do.

Kindergarten Graduation

Whitley and Zoey.  These two have had a sisterly love-hate relationship since day 1.
The only two Kindergarten Graduates...the rest failed.  LOL No, really...only two!  Whitley and Zoey in their caps and gowns with their cake.

I am going to save this one.  I have a picture of Gramdma Cheryl and also of me in white Cap and gown for High School graduation.  Neat to compare.

  CAKE!!!

Receiving diplomas with Principal Abel and Mrs. Benz.  Prior to this we were all huddled in the church basement because a tornado had touched down near Rib Mountain.

Walking down the aisle with Mrs. Benz

A photo collage gift from Mrs. Benz.

Is it Thanksgiving already?

The turkeys were early for dinner. LOL Yes, that's turkey snot on the sliding glass door. It was in LOVE with it's reflection or something.

Halloween

Store bought costumes (from last year) for school becsue I didn't have enough faith in my sewing that the ones I made would hold up all day.

My two favorite pets...Milo the Dog and Zoey the Cat. I really wanted to get a coverall and stencil "Animal Control" on it but I lost my mojo for creativity long before I was even half way done with these. We got lots of compliments on the outfits and the makeup. All I can say is, can you imagine what I could have done if they could have held still for at least a minute!?

Florida Vacation

"Annual" trip (we hope) to Florida. It was great to have Chris and Michelle join the family. Zoey certainly loved the ocean MORE than she ever could have if you guys hadn't come!

Ken and Gramma Cheryl!

We did a pontoon ride to an Island (I can't remember the name of it) to do some sea shell scavenging. There was a buried treasure full of souvenirs for the kids too.

Milo wasn't so into the water...but LOVED the sand.
